2027 dates and the usual pattern
- Saturday 20 February: First Peoples First at South Beach Reserve and O'Donnell Gardens.
- Sunday 21 February: Big Festival Sunday across the foreshore, Acland Street, and Lower Esplanade.
- Free to attend. Stages, food stalls, market stalls, and family areas.
In 2026 the same format ran 14 and 15 February and drew about 360,000 people. Official lineup and stage maps live on stkildafestival.com.au.
- Myki on tram 96 or 16. Get off one stop early if the last stop is a crush.
- Use official Festival maps for toilets, Changing Places, Auslan stages, and water.
- Eat on Acland or The Esplanade if you can reach them. Book sit-down rooms weeks ahead, not on Sunday.
The precinct becomes tow-away on Festival Sunday. Fitzroy Street, Acland Street, Lower Esplanade, and Jacka Boulevard close. Do not leave a car inside the zone.
Getting there when the suburb is closed

Food and toilets
Festival stalls cover the foreshore. Acland Street shops stay open if you can reach them. The Esplanade Market is closed that Sunday. Use the Esplanade hub and Acland Street hub for live listings.
